Automobili Lamborghini Celebrates Christmas 2024 with a Message of Strength and Reconciliation
SANT’AGATA BOLOGNESE (December 20, 2024) – Automobili Lamborghini continues its cherished Christmas tradition with “The Snowball,” a heartwarming video that reveals how a single decision can alter the course of events and reshape human connections.
The story follows a Lamborghini owner who, while driving his Revuelto back to his hometown for the holidays, is confronted by a figure from his past, a person who, as a young man, had often mocked and humiliated him. In an unexpected turn, the protagonist responds with an act of compassion that leads to a heartfelt reconciliation, proving that courage and kindness can overcome even the deepest divides.
“The Snowball” beautifully embodies Lamborghini’s “Driving Humans Beyond” mission, blending the magic of Christmas with a powerful message about the impact of our choices. It illustrates how simple, yet meaningful actions can redefine relationships and inspire a more positive future.
With this universal tale of emotion, character, and vision, Automobili Lamborghini celebrates Christmas 2024, underscoring how sometimes a simple action can be an act of extraordinary courage.
Automobili Lamborghini and Italian State Police Mark 20 years of Service to the Nation
SANT’AGATA BOLOGNESE (December 19, 2024) – Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian “Polizia di Stato” are celebrating 20 years of a compelling and altruistic collaboration, which began in 2004 with the delivery of a Lamborghini Gallardo. Since then, this partnership has enabled the Italian State Police to benefit from a succession of high-performance vehicles, used as valuable tools in patrolling and emergency medical response services. Notably, these vehicles have completed over 200 organ transport missions across Italy, contributing in many cases to saving lives. Additionally, they have featured in more than 1,500 road safety education events to promote a culture of safe driving.
“We are extremely proud to celebrate 20 years of collaboration with the Italian State Police, an institution we deeply respect for its daily work protecting the safety of Italian citizens. Knowing that our vehicles have supported the police in their road operations and have contributed to saving lives is greatly gratifying. This cooperation represents the strong bond between Automobili Lamborghini and Italy and its institutions, despite our international outlook.”
– Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini
“The 20-year synergy with Automobili Lamborghini reinforces the Italian State Police’s commitment to fulfilling a delicate task such as urgent organ transport, an activity carried out in close collaboration with the National Transplant Centre. This helps to make one of the missions of the Polizia di Stato increasingly tangible, namely being of service to all citizens. The Lamborghinis in use, from the Gallardo to the most recent Urus, allow us to rely on cutting-edge equipment and technology, ensuring our specially trained drivers can carry out this vital service quickly and with maximum safety.”
– Prefect Vittorio Pisani, Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security
In total, six vehicles have joined the Italian State Police fleet over 20 years, each with specific characteristics and advanced technologies designed to support security and emergency operations and creating a partnership rich in stories and significant events.
Gallardo (2004-2005)
The collaboration began in 2004 when Automobili Lamborghini delivered the first Gallardo 510-4 to the Italian State Police, delivering the first organ transport in September of that year. This car was the first production Lamborghini equipped with a V10 engine, featuring an advanced 5-litre dry-sump lubrication system, dual overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank, variable valve timing (4 per cylinder), and chain-driven timing. The Gallardo was assigned to the Stradale unit in Rome and completed four years of service, covering approximately 140,000 kilometres in patrolling operations in central and southern regions and urgent medical interventions. Equipped with traffic monitoring devices, the Gallardo could detect dangerous driving behaviors, identify license plates, and transmit real-time images to operational centers.
In 2005, a second Lamborghini, also a 510-4, was delivered for use in the Bologna area, featuring similar equipment for road safety monitoring and the important addition of a refrigerated compartment in the boot for urgent organ transport.
Gallardo LP 560-4 (2008)
In 2008, the first Gallardos were replaced by the Gallardo LP 560-4, an upgraded version with superior performance and advanced technology. Featuring a 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 560 CV, permanent all-wheel drive for maximum dynamic stability, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 325 km/h, this successor to the Gallardo served the Italian State Police well. Assigned to central and southern regions, it operated primarily along the Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway. The front boot was also fitted with a refrigerated compartment for rapid organ transport, along with a defibrillator, supporting emergency medical operations and saving lives.
In addition to daily services, the Gallardo participated in numerous representational events, such as the traditional Police Day parade in Rome, and served as an escort vehicle in vintage car competitions like the Targa Florio and the Milano–San Remo rally. One of the earlier models even represented the Italian State Police’s colors in New York, parading during the Columbus Day celebrations in 2004 and 2005.
Huracán LP 610-4 (2014-2017)
In 2014, Automobili Lamborghini delivered a Huracán LP 610-4 to the Italian State Police, followed by a second model in 2017. The vehicle features a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 449 kW / 610 CV, with direct and indirect injection, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 325 km/h. Designed specifically for this collaboration, the Huracán is equipped with all-wheel drive and a chassis made of aluminum and carbon fiber, ensuring stability even at high speeds. Every detail has been engineered for maximum performance, including an aerodynamically optimized roof-mounted beacon. The ultra-flat lights include blue LEDs at the base to enhance visibility, while the aluminum casing features white LEDs on the front, rear and sides.
In February 2023, as part of the national Cross-Over programme, the Lamborghini Huracán assigned to the Emilia-Romagna Traffic Police was used for a critical organ transport. A kidney was safely collected from San Salvatore Hospital in L’Aquila and transported to Le Molinette Hospital in Turin. The timely delivery of the vital organ saved the life of a 57-year-old woman.
Urus Performante (2023)
The latest vehicle to join the Italian State Police’s fleet is the Urus Performante, delivered in Rome’s Piazza del Viminale in December last year, in the presence of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, and Chief of Police Vittorio Pisani, who received the keys directly from Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. The vehicle is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing a maximum output of 666 CV and 850 Nm of torque between 2,300 and 4,500 rpm, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h. This model was customized in Sant’Agata Bolognese with a livery designed by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile, combining the classic “Polizia di Stato Blue” with white and tricolor stripes along the sills and beltline.
The Urus has been fitted with essential public safety equipment, including a secure weapon drawer, a collapsible message panel, a compartment in the boot for tools, and a defibrillator. As with all delivered vehicles, it features a refrigerated compartment for organ transport, with a display and data logger for constant temperature monitoring.
Automobili Lamborghini is honored to continue this historic partnership, which highlights innovation and social commitment through vehicles that not only achieve exceptional performance but also support the Italian State Police in their most critical missions.
2025 Corvette ZR1 is the Quickest Corvette Ever
The 2025 Corvette ZR1 with 1,064 horsepower is the quickest Corvette ever, achieving 0-60 mph in 2.3 seconds* with the available ZTK Performance Package.
The ZTK-equipped ZR1 also runs the quarter mile in 9.6 seconds*. The standard ZR1 sprints to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and finishes the quarter mile in 9.7 seconds*.
“The 2025 Corvette ZR1 yet again exceeded our expectations. Combined with a top speed record of 233 mph—which is unrivaled by any current production car priced under $1 million—the Corvette ZR1 delivers on its mission to provide customers unrelenting power.”
– Josh Holder, chief engineer, Corvette
A closer look demonstrates how ZR1 can be a standout track tool and a powerful grand touring vehicle all at once. ZR1 with ZTK, which includes the high-downforce Carbon Fiber Aero Package, bursts from a standstill on ultra-grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, taking a clear edge to 60 mph. The equally balanced standard aero ZR1 sails to a 152 mph quarter mile trap speed, 2 mph faster than the ZTK-equipped ZR1. All tests were done with 93 octane pump fuel and were performed on a non-prepped drag strip surface.
Quick, repeatable launches are enabled by Corvette’s standard Launch Control and Custom Launch Control features, found throughout the lineup from Stingray to ZR1. Launch Control is programmed to manage tire spin, transmission clutch application rate, and more, enabling rapid launches automatically. Custom Launch Control allows the driver to have more control to adjust for real-time conditions, optimizing acceleration runs by adjusting launch RPM and wheel slip targets from the steering wheel controls.

The warmest of welcomes naturally awaited the treasured Bugatti guests. In a joyous gathering, Bugatti’s customers and dealers shared tales and cherished memories with the people of Bugatti with whom they had forged close ties across the year – from Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac, to Christophe Piochon, President, Hendrik Malinowski, Managing Director, and the legendary racing driver and Bugatti Pilote Officiel, Andy Wallace. Wallace emotionally recounted his recent, incredible experience of setting the top-speed record with the W16 Mistral World Record Car, as the owner of this incredible record-breaker – exhibited on the Château premises that night – looked visibly moved and deeply thankful.
In the halls of Bugatti’s home, the exceptional privilege of an intimate three-course dinner in the Château itself was hosted – a rare and extraordinary occasion that paid homage to Ettore Bugatti’s vision. For this special evening, the Château became a haven of festive elegance, where new memories were created and tales lovingly recounted together – echoing Ettore’s timeless traditions. As a souvenir of this intimate Christmas dinner and a reminder of the incredible year spent as a family, guests were invited to inscribe a personal note on their own festive bauble, created to decorate Bugatti’s stylishly presented festive tree for the evening and many more to come – “Pour l’éternité” – a poignant symbol of the very unique community spirit cherished by the marque.
Celebrating the values of festive gifting, the merry gathering could also celebrate the joy of generosity – in a charitable auction, brilliantly orchestrated by Head of Sales, Guy Caquelin, Bugatti organized to support the Semeurs d’Étoiles, a local charity with whom the brand has forged close ties with, and whose mission centers upon the care and wellbeing of hospitalized children as well as fully assisting their parents. A car bonnet adorned with hand-drawn sketches from Jascha Straub, Bugatti’s Lead Designer Sur Mesure, was presented before all. With the final patron, The Singh Collection, Punjab, India – proud owners of the W16 Mistral World Record Car – donating €50,000, they offered the piece as a gift to Mate Rimac, a beautiful celebration of generosity and giving thanks for the amazing year they had shared with the marque, including setting the open-top speed world record with their very own W16 Mistral car. An authentic tribute to the shared values symbolized in owning a Bugatti.
“This is a special season for everyone; the end of the year is always an opportunity to reminisce and to spend precious time with those around you.
