Our ’57 T-bird is a survivor car and is pretty much the way my mother purchased the car in 1970 and has been in the family ever since. It is an “E” code with 2, 4 bll. carbs. from the factory. There were only 1300+ “E” code Tbirds made in 1957. Car was said to belong to Mitch Miller the legendary band leader, but we have no documentation to back that up. The story goes that Mitch gave/sold this car to his cousin who lived in Kinderhook , NY (just south of our area) . The cousin sold to a local man who ran a body shop. My mother purchased it from this man. I attached a picture of the radio and you can see it was hand written “Miller”. I also attached a picture of the data plate so that you can see it is truly and “E” bird.
It has both tops with some checking on the hard top. The black convertible top is in good condition and is believed to be original one. Body paint is worn in spots and believed to be repainted in the 60’s, could use new paint. Body is solid with some rust underneath. Engine is a 312 with near 61K original miles on it. Never rebuilt, lots of power. Properly maintained and is a good solid original car, excellent driver. with a lot of power @ 270 HP. T&C radio, PS, PW and P seats. Radial tires have been placed on this car awhile back.
Asking $39,000 but family will consider an offer.
