The New Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe Combines Agility, Sportiness and Elegance

Affalterbach (April 29, 2024) – Mercedes-AMG is sharpening its product portfolio with the new 2024 AMG CLE 53 Coupe. Arriving at U.S. dealerships in summer 2024, the sporty two-door coupe combines the best of two worlds: the agility and sportiness of the AMG C-Class with the elegance of the AMG E-Class. The AMG-enhanced 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with turbocharging via an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor has been thoroughly modified and now produces 443 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque (443 lb-ft for 10 seconds with overboost). The 48-volt integrated starter generator (ISG) provides support at lower engine speeds with 23 hp and 151 lb-ft. Power is transferred via an AMG SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9G transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. Continue reading

GOTHENBURG, Sweden (29 April 2024) –Polestar and fast-charging battery pioneer StoreDot have successfully demonstrated the implementation of StoreDot’s Extreme Fast Charging (XFC) technology in a car for the first time, charging a Polestar 5 prototype from 10-80% in just 10 minutes. The fully driveable verification prototype saw a consistent charge rate starting at 310 kW and rising to a peak in excess of 370 kW at the end of charging. Continue reading

CREWE (April 29, 2024) – Bentley Motors is extending both the visual impact and dynamic ability of the Bentayga even further through its Mulliner bespoke division, with the launch of a global 20-car collection named the Apex Edition.  Featuring ultra-strong, lightweight 22” Mulliner carbon wheels teamed with carbon ceramic brakes, it will be offered in a choice of six unique specifications curated by Mulliner’s design team.  All include a central painted livery stripe extending over bonnet and roof, a first for the Bentayga.  Even rarer will be a specification offered only to owners of the Continental GT Le Mans Edition who will be able to commission an Apex Edition Bentayga in matching trim and livery.
