ON THE BLOCK: RM Sotheby’s Announces all-new Milan Sale

LONDON (January 24, 2025) – Milan, without question one of the most historic and beautiful cities in Europe, known for its fine cuisine, spectacular architecture and, of course, fashion, has been chosen to host an all-new RM Sotheby’s auction on 21-22 May. The sale will take place at the Fonderia Macchi Carlo, an historic former industrial building that has provided a backdrop to some of the most exclusive fashion catwalk shows in Milan, with both Valentino and Gucci having chosen the venue to showcase new collections to the world’s press.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be announcing this new sale in Milan. It is a city which provides a perfect backdrop to a collector car auction, and with such a long track record of hosting great sales in Italy, this is a welcome new fixture in the calendar. The venue provides an exciting new opportunity to present fine motor cars in an innovative and fresh way, and we have no doubt the sale will provide an exceptional experience to clients.”

Greg Anderson, Managing Director UK and EMEA

Taking place over 21-22 May 2025, the sale will comprise approximately 50 lots, with exceptional automobiles from both road and track representing almost every era of motoring.

What’s more, this year, the Audi museum mobile is celebrating its very own anniversary on Museum Day: its 25th birthday. Continue reading
