MODENA (December 1, 2024) – An exclusive two-day event has been held to celebrate the Maserati brand and its 110 years of history, immersed in the natural stage of Modena and the iconic locations of the car manufacturer based there. The Trident Experience – staged last weekend and designed for a limited number of guests – managed to combine moments of passion, luxury and innovation, for immersion in the true essence of the Maserati world. The guests included the Maserati Italia Club, the Panini family, Ettore Maserati’s grandchildren and Matilda De Angelis.
To welcome the guests and participants to the historic headquarters on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena, with its distinctive tower lit up in blue specially for the event, the long-awaited and spectacular unveiling of the Maserati GranTurismo 110 ANNIVERSARIO. This limited series, available in two configurations of 55 units each, was created to celebrate the brand’s anniversary and is ready to write another glorious chapter in Maserati’s over a century of history. The actress Matilda De Angelis accompanied guests in a discovery of the brand’s wealth of heritage and its modern identity.
The journey of the Trident Experience continued in Piazza Roma between institutional moments, cultural visits and leisurely interludes, ending in an evening at Massimo Bottura’s Casa Maria Luigia with a Gala Dinner. The Michelin-starred chef shared with the guests an immersive experience in his personal artistic collections and in the authentic flavors of his culinary creations.
The second day of the event, on Sunday 1 December, saw 110 Maseratis on parade, including current and historic models. Standing out among the vintage cars were the A6GCS Berlinetta, the 1960 3500, the 1961 3500GT Spyder, the 1966 Maserati Mistral, the 1970 Ghibli Spyder and Ghibli SS, as well as a 1971 Maserati Indy 4200 America and a Maserati Indy America 4700.
The celebratory parade departed from the historic plant on Viale Ciro Menotti for the Modena Circuit, crossing the central Via Emilia. Once at the destination, it was possible to test the performance of the MC20 and GranTurismo from the masters at Maserati and there was an adrenaline-fueled gymkhana with the GranTurismo and Grecale Folgore, as well as hot laps with the GT2 Stradale and the Maserati Corse GT2, a car that marked the brand’s return to the world of closed-wheel car racing. Finally, to witness the performance on the road, the participants had the chance to drive the cars from the range in the hills of Modena. Alongside the evolutions on the track and on the road, space was also dedicated to the Maserati MCXtrema and Maserati Tipo Folgore, the car participating in the FIA Formula E World Championship. Finally, areas were dedicated to our partner Sparco, to the two GT 110 ANNIVERSARIO models in a special livery. and to the Sonus faber sound system.
To further enrich the exclusive experience, a traditional local cuisine workshop was held, aimed at emphasizing the close link between the brand and the city of Modena even further. Led by expert masters of cookery, guests had the opportunity to learn the secrets to create the perfect dough to make classic tortellini.
