ATLANTA (November 21, 2024) – The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has been named Road & Track’s Performance EV of the Year in the category over $100,000. This marks the second consecutive win for a Taycan in this highly competitive event, with the Turbo S variant claiming top honors in this category last year.

“The Taycan Turbo GT was truly impressive and has taken a significant step on from its Taycan Turbo S brother, which won the award last year. What really caught our attention is that this is a practical sedan that could be used every day, but also happens to be the company’s most powerful road car ever.”

Daniel Pund, editor-in-chief at Road & Track

“We never take wins for granted, and we’re grateful to receive this award – in what is a really competitive category – from the experts at Road & Track. This independent assessment means a lot to us and is testament to the great work and care that went into developing this exciting new variant of the Taycan.”

Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America

To be eligible for the Performance EV of the Year test, each vehicle had to be substantially evolved compared with what was on sale in 2023, but not necessarily all-new. Each had to be available in the U.S. by the end of 2024, and explicitly positioned with driving enjoyment as a fundamental goal. The only criterion for judging is driver engagement. Testing by the editorial staff took place over the course of four days on roads in New York state’s Delaware River Valley and at the New York Safety Track in Harpersfield, NY. During the track portion of testing, the Taycan Turbo GT lapped the track approximately two seconds faster than its nearest competitor.

Originally launched in 2019, the Porsche Taycan underwent a comprehensive enhancement for the 2025 model year resulting in improved performance, greater range, quicker charging and increased standard equipment.

The Taycan Turbo GT is a new model that sits at the top of the model range. Developing up to 1,019 horsepower, it represents Porsche’s quickest and most powerful production car to date, reaching 60 mph in as little as 2.1 seconds when equipped with the Weissach Package.

BUDAPEST (November 19,2024) – In the world of ultra-lightweight, classic sports cars, KAMManufaktur is setting the standard. Known for its meticulous redesign and re-engineering of the classic 912, KAMM’s 912c has won the hearts of drivers, critics, and collectors across Europe, with its lightweight construction and high-performance four-cylinder engine.

Now KAMManufaktur has officially launched in the United States with the first production 912c having just been delivered to Miami, and the recent appointment of a US dealer.

The ultra-lightweight KAMM 912c captures all the magic of the classic 1960s design, further enhanced by the extensive use of carbon fiber to deliver a class leading weight of 750kg (specification dependent). Combined with its extensively re-engineered, air-cooled four-cylinder engine, based on the famous ’616’ powerplant, the KAMM 912c guarantees a fully analog, pure driving experience.

Founder Miklós “Miki” Kázmér and his team have a deep love for Porsche’s 912, often overshadowed by its famous sibling, the 911. Through careful attention to detail and a respect for tradition, Kázmér has brought the 912 back into the spotlight.

For Kázmér, bringing the 912c to the US is a full-circle moment, as it was inspired by a visit to California’s famous Petersen Museum many years ago.

“I’ve always had a passion for the 912 and the 911. But seeing the original 911R at the museum sparked my journey towards the 912c. I wanted to capture the same, designed for purpose attitude and bring it to life in, what is now, the 912c, a car created for drivers who appreciate precision and classic style.”

Miklós “Miki” Kázmér, Founder KAMManufaktur

Originally released in the US at the New York Auto Show in 1965, the Porsche 912 was known for being a usable and nimble sports car. Today, KAMManufaktur is taking that original character and elevating it, giving owners the same thrills with added craftsmanship, performance and everyday usability.

However, the 912c is more than an updated classic. Crafted in Budapest by a team of passionate experts whose experience includes Singer, Koenigsegg, and Porsche Motorsport, each 912c is based upon a classic 912 donor car, updated with lightweight carbon fibre panels that are designed and manufactured in-house, but retaining its original chassis.

Every 912c is fully bespoke, created with modern essentials that are discretely hidden for everyday comfort, behind authentic design and world-class craftsmanship.

Partnerships with iconic names such as Fusina and TracTive ensure every detail not only stays true to the original but exceeds all expectations.

Weight, regarded by drivers as the enemy of driving enjoyment, has been a major focus for Kázmér. As well as the extensive use of carbon fibre throughout the build, the windows are lightweight, scratch-proof Lexan polycarbonate and every component has been redesigned to save weight. The body is reinforced with 40mm Cro-Moly tubing to create a strong tub-like structure and there is the option of an FIA-approved roll cage for track use. This attention to weight reduction has created one of the lightest sports cars in its class – in original 912c specification, as light as 750kg.

Under the hood, KAMM has transformed the original 1.6-litre engine into a 2.0-litre powerhouse, delivering 185hp and 205Nm of torque. While it retains elements of the original 616 motor, every component has been re-engineered for power, strength and daily driver reliability.

The short-shift transmission has been designed and engineered by KAMM and connects to a Porsche hydraulic racing clutch before power is sent to a ZF limited-slip differential. AP Racing provides the impressive stopping power, while TracTive coil-over suspension balances road comfort with track-ready handling.

The interior features equally impressive attention to detail. Electronic Smiths instruments are complemented by an authentic Fusina steering wheel. Fusina, famous for its seats in the 1960s and ‘70s, has returned to manufacture a brand new signature seat designed specifically for the 912c.

Modern touches like air conditioning, wireless phone charging, and heated seats are subtly included, but don’t expect a touchscreen as KAMM is all about keeping things pure.

Finally, no KAMM 912c would be complete without its stunning, custom wheels, with some designs inspired by the iconic Porsche 917 and even a carbon hybrid option.

”The KAMM 912c is so much more than a restomod. We have taken many years to explore and re-engineer almost every element of the 912 to make it a truly bespoke product, crafted by Kamm. And while the changes are extensive, I insist upon retaining the classic looks of the original 60s car, along with a driving experience that mimics that of a 1960 thoroughbred racer.”

Miki Krázmér

Two coupé KAMM 912c models are available – the Semi-Carbon which retains some original steel bodywork, and the Full-Carbon which has full carbon fibre bodywork. A 912c Targa is also available. Each car is unique, tailored to the owner’s preferences and carefully built over 12 months, with only limited build slots available each year.

KAMM 912c Semi-Carbon €355,000. KAMM 912c Full-Carbon €395,000. KAMM 912c Targa €375,000.

KAMM has designated ZWECK as a North American sales representative and service partner. ZWECK specialises in Porsche car sales, performance and service, operating from a large facility based in Miami, Florida.

”While remaining true to the 912 philosophy,” says , “KAMM faithfully augments the original concept without compromise, using the best of modern technology. The 912c is a unique offering in the niche of resto-modified cars and has been engineered and executed to an extraordinary standard, equal in quality to the likes of Singer and Gunther Werks.”

WEISSACH, Germany (November 14, 2024) – Trends and inspirations from around the world fuel the ideas of Porsche designers. The Newsroom provides an exclusive look behind the scenes of Porsche’s design studio.

“We are aware that we build sports cars for very different cultures,” says Peter Varga, Director Exterior Design at Porsche. New design ideas and artistic influences from around the globe are therefore incorporated into the design process of every new Porsche model.

Regular creative exchanges
An important source of such inspiration is the regular creative exchanges that take place in the design studio at the Weissach Development Centre. Team members invite creative minds from around the world to these sessions, as well as presenting interesting projects themselves. “These inputs and regular exchanges – deliberately kept separate from the everyday topics of the series-production design process – are extremely important for us,” says Varga. “Direct interaction works much better than having a conversation over a screen.”

Two very different personalities recently provided inspiration for the Porsche sports cars of the future in this way: Brazilian artist Adonis Alcici and Ukrainian product designer Kateryna Sokolova. Alcici lives in the Brazilian city of São Paulo. In Weissach, he shared how he developed a passion for motorsport as a child and, as a teenager, met members of the Porsche team for the first time at a Formula One race at Interlagos. This marked the beginning of a long-standing connection: Alcici has designed art cars for Porsche that were exhibited at Miami Art Week. He also designed the helmet worn by Porsche factory driver Felipe Nasr during the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans

In Weissach, he painted a black Macan together with Porsche designers. His signature style features arrow shapes, which emphasise the proportions and great dynamism of Porsche’s racing and sports cars. “His style is incredibly relaxed and effortless,” says Varga.

Brazilian nonchalance meets German engineering expertise
Brazilian nonchalance meets German engineering expertise to precisely create the tension that Michael Mauer, Head of Style Porsche, sees as embodying a defining design principle. Three key words represent the brand identity of Porsche: focus, tension and purpose. Porsche offers iconic design. The design DNA of the sports cars is consistently evolved, thanks in part to inspirations like those from Alcici, who says “My art is about speed – and adrenaline.”

This evolution is a team effort in Weissach: designers, studio engineers, model builders and UX designers collaboratively shape the Porsche models of tomorrow. “Events like these creative exchanges help us to recognise trends early and gather important impulses from outside the automotive world,” explains Varga.

Trends have been set by the Ukrainian product designer Kateryna Sokolova, too. Sokolova presented the headphones that she designed for the musician Jean-Michel Jarre and the lights that hang in the Buddha Bar in New York when she visited the studio in Weissach. Her furniture is a highlight in extraordinary venues and architect-designed houses worldwide. During her creative exchange with the Porsche designers, Sokolova explained how she develops prototypes into design objects: starting with 100 variants, from which one ultimately prevails.

Sokolova’s inputs have inspired the designers at Porsche, for example, in the selection of new materials and surfaces for Porsche interiors. In this way, art, design and sports car manufacturing mutually enrich each other.

STUTTGART (November 13, 2024) – After building 2,500 examples, Porsche has celebrated the end of the 911 Dakar model with the handover of a Sonderwunsch special at the Porsche plant in Zuffenhausen. Extensively customized and refined, this Sonderwunsch 911 Dakar was commissioned for an Italian collector of sports cars.

Porsche introduced the 911 Dakar, a sports car equally at home off-road as it is on country routes, in November 2022. The car’s standard ground clearance is approximately 50 millimeters higher than that of a 911 Carrera with sports suspension. Off-road-specific details include red, forged aluminum recovery eyelets at the front and rear, as well as widened wheel arches and sills. The three-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine producing 480 PS (353 kW) and a maximum torque of 570 Nm delivers impressive performance with a distinctive and emotive boxer sound.

To the final of the model: customized three-tone paintwork
Now, a special example of this limited-run model has been handed over in the Porsche Museum – but not before getting the full Sonderwunsch treatment, including a unique three-tone paint job. Signalyellow and Gentianbluemetallic tie neatly into the Rallye Design Package, echoing the look of the winning vehicle from the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally, while a painted blue line between the two larger colored areas completes the trio. The shade, which has been named Lampedusablue after the Italian Mediterranean island, was created in collaboration with the new owner of the car.

The spokes of this one-off car’s alloy wheels are also painted in Signalyellow, while the rim edge features Lampedusablue. The livery was done entirely by hand and in close co-operation between the customer and Porsche designers. The LED Matrix headlights are individualized with a Lampedusa-colored accent ring, and the stainless steel protective elements on the front, rear, and sills are black.

Inside, more yellow appears against the contrasting black, such as in the stitching and trim strips on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The ’911 Dakar’ lettering is also embroidered in Speedyellow thread on the headrests of the Sports Seats Plus, and the gear selector of the eight-speed PDK is enhanced with a Speedyellow leather insert. When the doors are opened, LED projectors cast the Sonderwunsch logo onto the ground. The extensive customisation ensured that this 911 Dakar of type 992 was refined right up to the end in the Sonderwunsch manufactory.

Before the car makes its way to its new home, visitors to the Porsche Museum can catch a ‘last’ glimpse of this special model. Sitting alongside other unique derivatives of well-known limited series, it will be on display in the museum’s foyer.

ATLANTA (November 12, 2024) – With a sharper design, more power, more range and even better charging performance, Porsche extensively enhanced the Taycan at the beginning of 2024. Now three new variants expand the range: The new Taycan GTS builds on the model-spanning success story that is the Gran Turismo Sport at Porsche. With up to 690 hp of peak power with Launch Control, this version represents a compelling blend of performance and everyday usability and is available in either sports sedan or Sport Turismo body styles. In addition, the Taycan 4 is now available as the entry-level all-wheel drive sedan.

The range of Taycan models has never been more diverse: with three body variants, all-wheel and rear-wheel drive and various power levels of the Porsche E-Performance motors ranging from 402 hp to 1,019 hp, there are now 13 versions.

“With the wide-ranging Taycan line-up, we meet a broad range of customer wishes and mobility needs. Our three latest models exemplify this exceptional breadth. Even the first generation of the Taycan GTS was already the standard-bearer for the model line, positioned between the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo. And the new edition is no exception. And at the other end of the range, the Taycan 4 sports sedan combines high efficiency with the performance advantages of all-wheel drive.”

Kevin Giek, Vice President Model Line

The three new models benefit from all of the many enhancements in terms of design, technology and equipment with which Porsche updated the Taycan for the 2025 model year. The new models have more power, longer range, accelerate faster and can be charged in less time and with greater stability. All Taycan versions feature an even more extensive standard equipment list and come with the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience.

The simultaneous improvement of performance and efficiency is down to a number of factors: an advanced powertrain with a new rear-axle motor with up to 107 hp more power than its predecessor on all models, a modified pulse inverter with optimized software, more powerful batteries, revised thermal management, a next-generation heat pump, increased recuperation and optional all-wheel-drive strategy. At 800-volt DC charging stations, for example, it can be charged at up to 320 kW under ideal conditions. The maximum recuperation capacity during deceleration from high speeds has increased to up to 400 kW.

New edition of the Taycan GTS: sporty all-rounder
Now there are two variants in the Taycan model range with this legendary GTS badge: The new Taycan GTS sports sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo.

As a sporty all-rounder, the Taycan GTS impresses with up to 690 hp of overboost power when using Launch Control – 100 hp more than its predecessor. With the new push-to-pass function in the standard Sport Chrono package, an additional power boost of up to 93 hp can be called upon for 10 seconds at the touch of a button. In the Taycan GTS, push-to-pass also has a particularly sporty character, because at low speeds the torque is raised to Launch Control levels. As in the Taycan Turbo GT, the boost is indicated by a countdown timer in the instrument cluster and dynamically staged with animated rings on the speedometer.

The Taycan GTS sports sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.1 seconds – 0.4 seconds faster than their respective predecessors. The sports sedan can also complete ¼ mile run in just 11.1 seconds – 0.7 seconds faster than before.

To do justice to the exhilarating character of a GTS, it was given a more distinctive Electric Sport Sound profile, usually found in the Taycan Turbo S. This sound feature sets it apart from other Taycan models.

The exterior and interior are equally distinctive. Numerous Black or Anthracite Grey details on the exterior are typical of a GTS. New to the Taycan GTS compared to its predecessor are the Sport design front and rear aprons with inlays painted in high-gloss black. High-gloss black is also used on the bases of the exterior mirrors. Both the standard 20-inch Taycan Turbo S Aero Design wheels and the optional 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels are painted exclusively in Anthracite Grey.

Many of the materials in the interior have been adopted from the Taycan Turbo GT models. For example, the Taycan GTS comes standard with extended interior elements in Race-Tex and smooth black leather. Also included as standard are the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus (with electric 18-way adjustment), the GT multifunction sport steering wheel with mode switch and steering wheel heating as well as the Sport Chrono package, including the push-to-pass function and track mode. The GT multifunction sport steering wheel, familiar from the Taycan Turbo GT models, is available in black Race-Tex on request. It includes two mode switches and paddles for the push-to-pass function and for energy recuperation. In addition to Carmine Red, the optional GTS interior package is now also available in Slate Grey Neo. A Taycan GTS logo is featured in the instrument cluster, power meter and start graphic. The BOSE® Surround Sound System is standard.

The GTS-specific chassis calibration and optional rear-axle steering give the Taycan GTS a particularly sporty character. The adaptive air suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is combined with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) as standard. The Porsche Active Ride suspension control system with GTS-specific tuning is available as an option. In dynamic driving situations, it aims to provide an optimal connection to the road thanks to its ability to optimize the individual distribution of forces at each wheel. In addition, Porsche Active Ride offers increased driving comfort in everyday driving situations.

New Taycan 4: efficiency with the practicality of all-wheel drive
Customers who wanted to combine the high efficiency of the standard Taycan with all-wheel drive have already been offered an option with the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. Now Porsche also offers such a variant as a sports sedan. In terms of performance, this new Taycan 4 corresponds to the Taycan: depending on whether the standard Performance battery or the optional Performance Battery Plus is fitted in the under-body, the result is an overboost output of up to 402 hp or 429 hp when using Launch Control.

With dual motors, one on each front and rear axles, the Taycan 4 offers greater driving stability and more traction than the rear-wheel drive Taycan. This is reflected in the acceleration values: the Taycan 4 takes 4.4 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, 0.1 seconds faster than its rear-wheel drive model sibling.

Additionally, the front electric motor is electrically decoupled whenever traction, driving dynamics, and driving stability allow it. It then switches back on within milliseconds when needed, for example when accelerating or recuperating.

Externally, the extensive standard equipment on the Taycan 4 sedan includes 19-inch Taycan aero wheels and black brake calipers as well as Matrix Design LED headlights. In addition, Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) are fitted as standard.

Comfort seats in the front (with electric eight-way adjustment), black partial leather trim, the Dark Silver accent package, the leather multifunction sport steering wheel, brushed silver aluminum door entry guards and the 10-speaker Sound Package Plus are standard in the interior. The partial leather interior is also available in Slate Grey as well as in a two-tone version in Black/Limestone Beige.

Pricing and availability
The Taycan 4 sports sedan starts at an MSRP $103,300. The new Taycan GTS starts at an MSRP of $147,900 for the sedan and $149,800 for the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. MSRP does not include tax, title, registration, dealer charges or a $1,995 delivery, processing and handling fee. These three variants complete the Taycan portfolio and can now be ordered, with availability at dealerships set to start in late Q1 of 2025. New exterior colors are also available for all Taycan models. In the Legends category, Slate Grey Neo and Pale Blue Metallic complete the range, while Purple Sky Metallic has been added to the Dreams category.

ATLANTA (November 8, 2024) – Porsche Cars North America. Inc. (PCNA) is proud to recognize the 40th anniversary of astronaut and chemist Anna Lee Fisher’s flight to space – the Mission STS-51A on November 8, 1984.

Fisher, the first mother to travel to space, was the proud owner of a Porsche 930 Turbo when she arrived to train as a mission specialist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Recently, PCNA spoke with Fisher. She reminisced on her days in the space program, her four-decade career as an astronaut and her passion for Porsche.

“I’ve always loved Porsche from the time I was little, Fisher recently reminisced from behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 Turbo, “My mom and my grandmother are from Germany, and one of my uncles had a Porsche and used to take me on rides all the time.”

Rides in her uncle’s Porsche cemented her love of adventure. After listening at age 12 to a radio broadcast of Alan Shepard becoming the first American in space, Fisher dreamed of becoming an astronaut, a profession held then by mostly men. She started her career as a medical doctor, which she credits helped best prepare her for astronaut training, then she was accepted into NASA’s astronaut training program in 1979. Her first daughter as born in 1983, followed by a second daughter six years later.

Fisher retired from NASA in 2017, but her love for space exploration and the Porsche brand remains unchanged.

ATLANTA (November 5, 2024) – Anyone looking into Porsche racing successes from the last century will automatically come across Norbert Singer. As a visionary racing engineer and master of aerodynamics, he played a role in every overall victory for Porsche at Le Mans from 1970 to 1998 – from the 917 to the 911 GT1 ’98. On November 16, 2024 he celebrates his 85th birthday.

“We would like to wish Norbert Singer all the best and we thank him for his tireless commitment to the Porsche brand. He contributed to the success of the brand in motorsport not only as a project manager in Weissach, but also with his strategic and tactical decisions at the racetrack.”

Michael Steiner, Member of the Executive Board for Research and Development

Norbert Singer was born on November 16, 1939 in what was then known as Eger, now Cheb in the Sudetenland, in the westernmost region of the Czechia. In Munich, he studied for a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on aerospace and automotive engineering, graduating as an engineer. In March 1970, he began his career as a racing engineer in the development department of Porsche, hired by Peter Falk, who was head of predevelopment and racing car development in testing and also test manager in series production development. Singer’s passion for motorsport was not a new one. As a student he had followed races at the Nürburgring and at the Grand Prix in Monaco.

His first year at Porsche was also the year of the long-awaited first overall victory at Le Mans. Right after starting in Weissach, Germany [the global headquarters of Porsche Motorsport], Singer set to work on the gearbox cooling system of the Porsche 917 short-tail, in which Richard Attwood and Hans Herrmann took victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the Circuit de la Sarthe just a few weeks later. Head of development Ferdinand Piëch asked Singer to come up with a simple solution to take the place of an external oil cooler, which would have generated additional wind resistance. After the triumph at the 24-hour race, he dedicated himself to the aerodynamics of the 917, later optimizing the 917 long-tail, the 917/10 and the turbocharged 917/30. Over more than three decades as a project manager, he prepared many cars for the racetrack and then provided on-site support for those cars, which included the: 911 Carrera RSR, 911 Carrera RSR Turbo 2.1, 935, 935/78 “Moby Dick”, 924 Carrera GT, 924 GTP Le Mans, 956, 962, 911 Turbo S Le Mans GT, 962 Dauer Le Mans GT, and the 911 GT1.

Among the highlights of his career were the development of the 956 Group C car and its successor, the 962. With the 956, Porsche pioneered an aluminum monocoque that enabled the racing car to achieve what is known as the ground effect, thanks to a special underbody design. “The faster the cars went, the more they literally stuck to the asphalt,” Singer recalls. From 1982 to 1986, the 956 and 962 C models achieved seven overall victories at Le Mans and won five drivers’ world championships, three manufacturers’ world championships and two team world championships. Between 1984 and 1991, a version of the 962 become the hallmark not only for Porsche but for all endurance sports car racing in the IMSA GTP racing class.

Since retiring in December 2004, Singer has acted as a contemporary witness at the Porsche Museum. He is a frequent guest at the Porsche company archives and was involved in the preparation of a book on the history of the 956/962, among other projects. He also shares his expertise during the restoration of racing cars. To this day he has a close relationship with the brand.

ATLANTA (October 29, 2024) – The enthusiast-focused 911 Carrera T is back for the 2025 model year as a coupe, and for the first time is also available as a cabriolet model. The third modern iteration of the 911 Carrera T improves on the popular formula of combining an especially sporty chassis with the engine of the standard 911 Carrera, a focus on lightweight materials, and a six-speed manual gearbox as the sole transmission offering.

Powertrain and performance
The 911 Carrera T uses the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine as the standard Carrera. It generates 388 hp and 331 lb.-ft. of torque, and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds as a coupe or 4.5 seconds in Cabriolet form. The top track speed of the Coupe and Cabriolet is 183 mph and 182 mph respectively.

A standard six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels and uses the first six ratios of the seven-speed manual used previously in the Type 992.1 Carrera models. Notably, the shift lever is topped with a walnut ball handle that helps distinguish this as a special model every time the driver changes gears.

To support smooth downshifts, the car comes standard with an auto-blip feature that rev-matches the engine to the appropriate transmission speed. This feature can be manually disabled, and is part of the Sport Chrono package, which is standard equipment on the Carrera T, and offers the convenience of a dial integrated in the leather-wrapped GT Sport steering wheel for quick access to Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Wet drive modes. This also includes the Track Precision app, and a tire temperature display in the instrument cluster display area. A Sport Exhaust system is also standard equipment, and in combination with reduced sound deadening material this creates an especially emotional driving experience.

Sporty, Engaging Chassis Setup
Several performance focused enhancements to the running gear make the Carrera T an excellent dance partner for winding roads. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which is also standard and lowered by 10 millimeters compared to the 911 Carrera, is tuned specifically to complement the sporty nature of the Carrera T. As is the case with the standard 911 Carrera, the braking system improves for this generation by upgrading to 350 mm front and rear brake discs (+20 mm versus the prior generation) and six-piston fixed calipers on the front axle in replacement of the four-piston fixed calipers used in the predecessor.

As a result of rear-axle steering becoming standard equipment, the steering ratio also quickens compared to the 911 Carrera. The front and rear anti-roll bars have also been revised to make the car more even agile and stable during enthusiastic driving. Porsche Torque Vectoring, which uses a mechanical rear differential lock and targeted brake interventions to direct power to the rear outside wheel while cornering is also standard equipment. Carrera T specific aerodynamic adjustments also contribute to the overall balance of the car.

Carrera S alloy wheels in staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear diameter are also standard equipment, and come wrapped in 245/35 ZR20 tires in front and 305/30 ZR21 tires on the rear.

Lightweight materials and weight savings
The 911 Carrera T was conceived as a purist car and represents a reference to the 911 T sold from 1968 to 1973. At that time, Porsche offered a stripped down version of the 911 called the “T” that dispensed with certain luxuries and focused on performance oriented components and options in the name of saving weight and ultimately winning races. The Type 991.2 911 Carrera T was first introduced at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, and the most immediate predecessor of this car from the 992.1 generation are based on the same philosophy, which also inspired the new models.

Lightweight glass, reduced sound deadening material and a six-speed manual transmission all contribute to a lower curb weight than the standard 911 Carrera. Optional carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) bucket seats offer customers the option for an even sportier experience that can save further weight.

Exterior and interior
Key visual distinctions set the Carrera T apart from its siblings. These include a Vanadium Grey Metallic paint finish on the sideview mirror covers, wheels, model designation decals on the doors and badge at the rear, and a Sport Exhaust with tailpipes in black stainless steel. Additionally, the rear side windows get special stickers with the manual shift pattern. In previous generations, the wheels were painted completely in the accent color, but for the new model the wheels have a two-tone effect thanks to a partially machined exterior face with a high gloss finish. The front spoiler lip of the 911 Carrera GTS models is adopted for this model as well.

2025 Carrera T Cabriolet Interior & Exterior Highlights
Porsche offers 12 paint colors in combination with the Vanadium Grey accents specific to this model. They range from solid black and white to more extroverted choices like Cartagena Yellow Metallic, Shade Green Metallic and Chalk.

A special Carrera T exterior package is available as an option that applies Gentian Blue accents to several parts of the car. This includes the wheels, rear model designation, slat inlays in the intake, door graphics and a hood stripe with a Carrera T logo. This package also includes black mirror shells instead of the standard Vanadium Grey.

The standard interior configuration features Vanadium Grey on the dashboard and center console for added style. The door panel trims are made of black anodized aluminum. The dashboard features a shift pattern logo on the passenger side, and there is a special “MT” badge in front of the shift lever.

Black, four-way power-adjustable heated Sport Seats Plus are standard equipment, as is a heated, leather-wrapped GT Sport steering wheel.  Customers may replace the Race-Tex with a leather interior for an additional cost. The default seats include centers finished in Sport-Tex with a Black plaid pattern. Decorative black stitching and embroidered black “911” logos are also included as standard. Optional 18-way Sport Seats Plus and fixed-back CFRP Full Bucket seats are also available.  The coupe comes from the factory as a two-seater, while rear seats are standard for the Cabriolet model. Customers may also specify rear seats in the coupe as a no-cost option.

A special 911 Carrera T interior package replaces the decorative black stitching with Gentian Blue thread. The seat belts, inserts in the center console and on the dashboard, 911 logo in the headrests, and trim rings in the instrument cluster and Sport Chrono clock adopt the same color. The black plaid seat centers also gain Gentian Blue accents as part of this package. More muted material upgrades for the interior are also possible by specifying either a Sport-Tex Plaid interior package with extensive items in leather or a leather interior, both at added costs.

Available to order now
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T and 911 Carrera T Cabriolet can be ordered now and is expected to begin arriving in U.S. Porsche Centers next summer. MSRP for the coupe and Cabriolet models will be $134,000 and $147,300 respectively, and before a delivery, processing and handling fee of $1,995.
