BMW M Motorsport Teams and Drivers Prepare for the 24 Hours of Daytona

DAYTONA, Fla. (January 20, 2025) – During the Roar before the 24 last weekend, BMW M Motorsport drivers and teams intensely prepared for the first season highlight of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC), the 24 Hours of Daytona (USA). One week before the race, three test days featuring seven sessions were held, during which BMW M Team RLL with its two BMW M Hybrid V8s gave strong performances. Dries Vanthoor (BEL) set the overall fastest time with 1:35.424 minutes. Kevin Magnussen (DEN) and Kelvin van der Linde (RSA) used the tests to complete their first laps as BMW M works drivers. Reigning Champions Porsche Penske Motorsport kick off new IMSA Season

ATLANTA (January 20, 2025) – The 24 Hours of Daytona, a prestigious season opener for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, will celebrate its 63rd season January 25-26 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The GTP class will feature four Porsche 963s: two from Porsche Penske Motorsport, one from Proton Competition, and another from JDC-Miller MotorSports. Petersen Automotive Museum to Host Cruise-in to Support Fire Recovery

Special charity event on Sunday, January 26, supported by Clarios and OPTIMA Batteries, will aid fire recovery efforts with fundraising, item collection and a Red Cross blood drive

WHAT: The Petersen Automotive Museum will host a charity Cruise-In on Sunday, January 26, to thank first responders and support recovery efforts from the devastating Southern California fires. In partnership with Clarios and OPTIMA Batteries, proceeds raised from the Cruise-In will benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the LAPD West Bureau. In addition, the American Red Cross will be on hand with an information booth and Blood Donation Center. The museum has partnered with an items collection organization and will accept donations for distribution to evacuation centers and families impacted by the fires. Continue reading

Never before offered for public sale, the 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa with Coachwork by Carrozzeria Ansaloni (Estimate: €5.500.000 – €7.500.000), is one of two examples purchased by the Besana brothers, Ferrari’s earliest customers.
