DAMASCUS (December 9, 2024) – Syrian rebels, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, discovered an extravagant car collection after the overthrown Bashar al-Assad sought asylum in Russia. The collection consisted of, among others, one of 349 Ferrari F50s, a Lamborghini Diablo and LM002 and dozens of other exotics, along with a peculiar affinity toward Toyota FJ Cruisers. The value of the collection is estimated in the tens of millions.

Understandably Syrians who have spent the last 50 years in generational squalor, imprisonment and torture are outraged by this and other treasures—many of them subject to looting—found in the palace.
